The Last Remnant is being developed by software giant Square-Enix who is well known for their Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest series. The game engine being used for the game is Epic's Unreal Engine 3, some games that have used this engine are Gears of War and Mistwalkers Lost Odyssey. The Last Remnant was a Sony Playstation 3 exclusive but on E3 2008 Square-Enix announced that The Last Remnant will also be coming to the PC and Microsoft's Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 version however will be released first because Square-Enix said that the Unreal Engine 3 for the Playstation 3 has a longer development time.
